The Lorimar 1: The Kiana Mile

The Kiana Mile is the part of the Lorimar within a day's walk of the Hafling City-State of Kiana. Here, the Lorimar broadens and runs through the cultivated shires of the Hafling lands. Farmland and small copses of trees stretch out in all directions. The road is patrolled by the Kianan Home Guard as well as the local constublry, and is quite safe. Travellers will often come across local farmers hauling their produce to market in Kiana. To the north lies Kiana. To the south the cultivated lands give way to the wild and shady lanes of Bigobo Grove. North To: Kiana South To: the Bigobo Shadow-ways

The Lorimar 2: Bigobo Shadow-ways

The Bigobo Shadow-ways are 2 days from Kiana and 5 days from Churt. Here the Lorimar is narrow and shady beneath the canopy of Bigobo Grove. When travellers pass through a clearing they can spy the distant snow-capped crags of Dragon's Peak to the West. This section of the Lorimar is not well-travelled. More than a few bandits and ne'r-do-well's call Bigobo Grove home, so travellers would do well to be cautious and travel in larger caravans. To the north lies The Kiana Mile. To the south the forest opens to the windswept grasslands of the Breeze League. North To: The Kiana Mile South To: The Breeze League

The Lorimar 3: The Breeze League

The Breeze League is 3 days from Kiana and 4 days from Churt. The Lorimar Road runs straight and true across the flat grasslands of the Breeze League, but for a single turn and fork in the road. The wind blows across the plains incessantly. Depending on the season, dry East winds sweep up from the Okajavo Desert or cold West winds blow down from the frozen peaks of the Ehtomer Mountains and Dragon's Peak. Travellers are rare on this desolate part of the road and it is too remote for most bandits from Bigobo Grove or raiders from Churt. In the midst of the emptyness, one signpost leans drunkenly at the fork in the Lorimar, pointing to a hard-packed track heading West toward the mountains. For those versed in Dwarvish, the sign reads: "To the Great Halls of Ehtome-Naom" The Lorimar proceeds north into the shady Bigobo Grove or turns East to the Northern Green League. The trail to the West leads to The Dragon's Peak Mountains and the Dwarven lands of Ehtome-Naom. The Lorimar 4: The Northern Green League

The Northern Green League is 4 days from Kiana and 3 days from Churt. Some say the forested hills bordering the Lorimar here are the northern reaches of Daelows Wood. Others claim they are the western groves of the Green Forest. Still others would say they are the eastern edge of the Western Waste. In any case, there are a lot of trees and competing gangs of brigands; Uman, Goblin, and Orcan. Solo travellers are at great risk in these stretches. If not in the company of an armed caravan, it is best to tread lightly and appear to be more trouble than yew are worth. To the West is the windswept Breeze League. To the East is the Goblin Stretch. West To: The Breeze League East To: The Goblin Stretch

The Lorimar 5: The Goblin Stretch

The Goblin Stretch is 5 days from Kiana and 2 days from Churt. Despite the name, Orcan and Goblin raiders roam this section of the Lorimar, along with warriors from Churt--which are sometimes indistinguishable from brigands. The surrounding scrubby woodlands give good cover for bandits and the wreckage of more than one cart or wagon lays rotting away beside the road. Travelling with a strong escort, or under the banner of Churt is the safest way to pass this part of the Lorimar. A great gateway roughly made of large trees lashed together stands astride a well-travelled fork in the road leading north. The gateway is tastefully decorated with skulls, tusks, bones, and broken armor and armaments. It is a homey and welcoming sight to warriors and raiders returning to Churt, but no so much for their captives. To the West is the Northern Green League. To the East is the Southern Green League. The Lorimar 5A: The Skulled Road to Churt

The Skulled Road to Churt is within a day's travel from the seat of power of the Orcan Kingdom. Kiana is 6 days away, while Daelows is 4 days distant. Well-travelled by Orcs, Goblins, and very brave merchants of other races, the road here is lined by an exceptionally long row of stakes with all manner of humanoid skulls atop them. If yew take a skull as a souvenier the legions of Churt will replace it with your own. Not even the bravest raiders dare show their faces on this part of the Lorimar, and the soldiers of Churt maintain both order and their own discipline. To the North are the walls of Churt. To the South is the Goblin Stretch. North To: Churt South To: The Goblin Stretch

The Lorimar 6: The Southern Green League

The Southern Green League is 3 days from Churt and 2 days from Greater Daelows. Though not as well-travelled as the parts of the Lorimar between Daelows and Terajin, the road here is broad and even. The surrounding forest has been cut back far from the road for the safety of travellers. The road is regularly patrolled by both the Daelows Army and sometimes by the People's Guard. The Green forest--also known as the Enchanted Forest, or "Channyfor"-- surrounds the road. If yew are unfamiliar with the magickal woods, it is best not to leave the road. To the West is the Goblin Stretch. The border between Daelows and Churt is clearly marked and usually guarded by both Uman and Orcan forces. Travellers may be asked their business before being allowed to cross the border. While travelling papers are not usually necessary, a Krown or two into the right hands can often speed the crossing. To the East is the Daelows Mile. West To: The Goblin Stretch East To: The Daelows Mile

The Lorimar 7: The Daelows Mile

The Daelows Mile is 4 days from Churt and within a day's travel of the Gates of Greater Daelows. The Lorimar is bordered here by the farms and castles of the landed gentry of Daelows, the huddled huts of their serfs, and the dwellings and estates of free farmers. The road is broad and heavily trafficked by merchants, farmers, and soldiers. The road bends past the walls of Greater Daelows and many branches run to the city gates. One well-marked road forks from the Lorimar on the North side of the city with signs for Trinsic. Another large branch turns South with signs for the Port City of El-Hazir. The Lorimar 8: The Enchanter's Highway

The Enchanter's Highway is 4 days from Terajin and 2 days from Greater Daelows. The Lorimar here is broad and flat. The surrounding Channyfor has been cut back well away from the highway. The Daelows Army regularly patrols the road, lending confidence to merchants and solo travellers of their safety. The Green Forest is thick and dense on all sides. At night travellers may find themselves tempted to enter by half-seen glimmers of strange flickering lights and ethereal sounds like distant music or laughter. The Lorimar 9: Bridgewest

Bridgewest is 3 days from Terajin and 3 days from Greater Daelows. West of the great bridge over the river Uiopa, the road runs straight and true. A large sign stands on the Daelows side of the bridge. SLAVERY IS ILLEGAL IN DAELOWS The outskirts of the village of Barsc and its surrounding farms border the road, along with an Inn or two. Travellers from Terajin will find them a bit shabby-looking compared to the city of Zabarzh, standing on the West banks of the Uiopa. The Daelows Army patrols this section of the Lorimar and maintains a guard post at the bridge manned by bored-looking soldiers. The bridge over the Uiopa is a great edifice of stone, broad and sturdy to allow even the largest caravan to cross with ease. Locals from both Barsc and Zabarzh often find entertainment jumping from the center span of the bridge in the warm months when the river is not too high. The Lorimar 10: The Terajin Shadowpath

The Terajin Shadowpath is 2 days from Terajin and 4 days from Greater Daelows. East of the great bridge over the river Uiopa, the Lorimar runs past the walled city of Zabarzh. Standing on a hill above a bend in the river, the terraced gardens surrounding the city march upward like emerald gems. They are filled with well-tended orchards heavy with fruit and the long rows of vinyards filled with glistening grapes and berries. The splendor of the walled gardens of Zabarzh stand in stark contrast to the penurious slaves that tend them. The road is broad, flat, and busy with the traffic of traders and merchants from all the lands of Aniada. East To: Bridgewest West To: The Terajin Mile

The Lorimar 11: The Terajin Mile

The Terajin Mile is within a day of the Great City of Terajin, 5 days from Greater Daelows, and 6 Days from Seven Oaks. The Lorimar near Terajin is filled with travellers, caravans, local merchants and farmers. Goods and people from all the lands of Aniada, and from the other parts of the worlde, converge on the great city through these lanes. The road is broad and flat. Terajin merchant guilds have collaborated to pave the road and caravan staging grounds directly outside the gates with stone, while the rest of the Terajin mile of the Lorimar is dustless gravel hauled in and periodically replenished by the labor of Terajin slaves. The road bends past the city walls, turning South toward Thousand Oaks and East toward Zabarzh. While banditry is almost unheard-of around Terajin, opportunistic theives will help themselves to unsecured cargo or wares left unguarded. The Lorimar 12: The Merchant's Walk

The Merchant's Walk is 2 days from the Great City of Terajin and 5 Days from Seven Oaks. Here the Lorimar is bordered by the Dark Forest to the West and the Uiopa to the East. The forest has been logged far back from the road, and grassy fields border both sides of the Lorimar. The river is only a short distance away, but travellers should be aware that they are downstream of Terajin and may find the contents of the river unappealing. The road is wide and clear, trodden by regular traffic between Terajin and Seven Oaks. North To: The Terajin Mile South To: The Knight's Walk

The Lorimar 13: The Knight's Walk

The Knight's Walk is 3 days from the Great City of Terajin and 4 Days from Seven Oaks. The edge of the Dark Forest pulls close to the Lorimar here, and the Uiopa bars escape to the East. The trees overhang the road in places, making these leagues a favorite place for raiders from the Dark Forest to ambush travellers. Large caravans from Seven Oaks and Terajin with an escort are the safest way to travel these lanes. North To: The Merchant's Walk South To: The Festing Lanes

The Lorimar 14: The Festing Lanes

The Festing Lanes are 4 days from the Great City of Terajin and 3 Days from Seven Oaks. The Uiopa slows and stagnates here as it pours into the great delta of the Saghane Swamp. All manner of biting insects make their home in the swamplands beside the Lorimar, and arise to meet and torment travellers. Worst in the summer months, the plague of insects abates during the frequent downpours that boil up on the southerly winds. A small path forks off from the Lorimar and heads into the swamp. It was once marked for the Orcan Riverport of Tuk-Cal, but the wooden sign has collapsed into the swamp and mostly rotted away. Travellers usually quicken their pace to spend as little time near the swamp as possible. North To: The Knight's Walk South To: The Seabreeze Road

The Lorimar 15: The Seabreeze Road

The Seabreeze Road is 5 days from the Great City of Terajin and 2 Days from Seven Oaks. The Lorimar turns Westward toward Seven Oaks and Northward toward Terajin here. It winds through coastal grasslands near the sparkling Vericule. Welcome winds from the ocean cool travellers most days. Hills, some wooded, some grassy, roll away to the North and the borders of the Dark Forest. To the south, the sea can be seen glinting between sandy dunes. The Lorimar 16: The Seven Oaks Mile

The beginning and end of many a traveller's journey, the Seven Oaks Mile is the part of the Lorimar within a day's walk of the Free Port of Seven Oaks. The road here is broad, clear, and well-travelled. It runs through low rolling coastal hills covered in long seaside grasses. To the south, the flashing waves of Vericule glimmer between sand dunes. To the north the hills roll away until the grasslands give way to the borders of the Dark Forest. Seven Oaks lies to the West, and the Breeze League of the Lorimar stretches East. Large merchant caravans often gather in the staging grounds just outside the gates of the free port. Their escorts, and occasional patrols of the militia from Thousand Oaks keep away brigands and highwaymen. West To: The Free Port of Seven Oaks East To: The Lorimar 15: The Seabreeze Road
