The Warren was a busy place with twisted paths and many secret entrances.

The other thing it had in plenty was goblins.  The nasty humanoids live in the dark places, since there are things in the worlde above that hunted them relentlessly.

There are many entrances, most of them booby-trapped.

Missing Toe

The goblin subchief  Missing Toe looked up from his slate.  The two Runner goblins, wiry and long-limbed, shifted on their feet in front of him.

”The package was delivered?”

”Oh, ayuh it were.  We tossed the old bone straight at a human and his ugly dog.”

Missing Toe nodded, “Very good.  Stand by for another.”

Missing Toe

He had summoned five fast runners that  were dispatched in all the directions that mattered. North, South, West East and Down.

They were bound to find a way to reach the ones that called them…

Eawyrm

The little bat-winged goblyn moved from the Center of the Rosewood south of the old ruined village and flapped his way through the air until he reached the familiar environs of the Western Rosewood.

To most, the entrances were hidden.

Goblyns could See, though.  They could See very well indeed.

Without stopping, he suddenly drew his wings in and dropped to the forest floor and vanished into the Warren.  He had to find Missing Toe.
