[Closed] Coinage & Barter Exchange
The economic system of Worlde Arcane varies widely but is generally based on a system of coinage and barter. Using the table below one can get an idea of what items are worth in the Lands. Precious metals rank at the top of the system and are generally judged on worth by weight. A weight of 1.5 to 2 grams is considered a "piece".
Various kingdoms in Worlde Arcane may have their own insignia stamped into these pieces which are then called "coins" although their shape may not have been altered by anything more than the stamp itself. Coins may vary slightly from area to area in the Lands provoking "negotiation" between traveler and merchant.
In Aniada, Terajin coinage is considered the 'base' standard. The Terajin Standard consists of three precious metals and their resulting coins. The Terajin Krown (K) = 1 gold piece, the Terajin Silver (S)= 1 silverpiece and the Terajin Copper (c) = 1 copper piece.
The relative values of these coins are as follows; 1 K = 10 S, 1 S = 100 c. Gems are a precious material that vary widely and are judged by quality, size, clarity, weight and so on. The Gems listed for this consideration should be judged to be of high standard and worth, 1 gem = 2 K.
