To His Eminence Most High, Vottig II, Emperor and High King of Bacheq

Mandate of Superior Realms As Established By The Star of Ert

Although there are many ancient myths and various religious interpretations throughout the Worlde regarding humanity’s humble beginnings, it is a generally held belief by highly revered scholars, many of whom are Masters of Science Arts, in the most sophisticated societies of Bacheq as well as Sipae, that the Superior Realms began to rule sometime shortly after the Star of Ert showered the Worlde with its spectacular blossoming trails of Celestial Orbs. This occurrence is well documented with differing variations in the collection of oral histories from many regions of the Worlde that have been passed down through the generations and finally recorded in the Books of Record. This includes stories from our own ancient ancestries.

Children of the Supreme Being
Children of the Supreme Being, ancient etchings in the high Krags.

Some speculate the Star of Ert was nothing more than the first appearance of a giant mother-comet, however the facts remain that no event like this has happened again in the thousands turns of the seasons since, and it’s well documented that comets are cyclic. Furthermore, it’s quite obvious based on what we know of our own histories that this event unmistakably marks a beginning of some importance for our own societies as no events have been recorded and little discovered to date of our past prior to this grand celestial event.

Each of the collected ancestral oral histories record in one fashion or another the great Star of Ert ‘s first appearance as a bright star in the morning sky that grew brighter each day. Soon it’s magnificent tail appeared and grew over the weeks and months marking the sky for one full cycle of seasons. Finally, when the Star of Ert was the brightest object in the sky, it split into a half dozen smaller globes of light which spread out in their own sparkling brilliant plumes across the Worlde in different directions. We celebrate this event now as the Festival of Celestial Orbs during the Winter Moone.

According to our own ancient histories, these Celestial Orbs which fell from the sky some 1,000 turns of the seasons ago held Children of the Supreme Being bringing his seed to the Worlde. And so proves that we are indeed among the most superior of races of Worlde Appogia. This documented event, along with the successes reflecting our own superiority in our own histories since that time, proves that we are Children of the Gods and therefore have divine right to rule those lessers among us throughout the Worlde!

Tuan, First Emperor (by self-proclamation)

Apsco

286 - 324 ASE

Murdered by Noboru Clan spy.

Tuan proclaimed himself Emperor of Sipae by superior authority. However Sipae's other clans rejected that claim out right and he lacked the strength of forces to back it up. After his death, Sipae's remaining Clan Lords warred with each other for centuries in a power struggle for the title of true Emperor. Apsco was a failing clan after Tuan's death and eventually broke apart with its members murdered or fleeing to join other clans.

Ganitsui, King of Quiet Waters

Noboru

364 - 389 ASE

Murdered by son in a bid for thrown.

Ganitsui was eventually able to convince his military that Tuan's death left them with great opportunity. They moved quickly and by 364 exerted control over the three northern cities Calu, Hitay and Neidi which allowed him to control the Great Sipae Bay (Quiet Waters). Ganitsui is credited with the principle of Celestial Mandate which is the belief that the Gods bestow their mandate to a chosen Ruler. As long the Gods deem a ruler worthy, that ruler rules over all. If the ruler falls out of favor with the Gods, misfortune befalls him and the Celestial Mandate passes on to a worthier ruler. Ganitsui was killed by his son, Yougi, who was overthrown by his brother, Ywizu. The clan dissolved in family dispute and internal turmoil shortly thereafter.

He ruled for 29 years then lost his regime and vanished.

Bimen Yao, Emperor of Sipae

Tak

883-953 ASE

Bimen Yao was well beloved by his subjects after demonstrating to the villagers that sacrifice to deities was actually a ploy by crooked priests to pocket money. He was regarded as a folk hero who pointed out the absurdity of sacrifice. He had the priests executed although it had been he who paid them to trick the people. Warding off and defeating many attempts at take-over by neighboring warring states, he became Emperor shortly before his death. He was succeeded by his oldest son, Manhaci.
